I believe that the housing crisis has really affectef the home fashion retail. There has been many stories in the news about how homes are getting foreclosed..because do not have the money to pay for their homes. Many have stated this came about from the banks giving loans to people who could not afford the homes. Real estate agents are having a tough time trying to get people to buy homes. When one is selling house the furniture inside the home is a must..this is why many real estate agents have a open house there is furniture insiside the home.
Since there has been a decline in the homes..because we are in recession..our local home fashion and retail stores have been down. Some big names in the home fashion and retail are Bed Bath and Beyond, Sears, and Michaels. These stores have decline because the economy is bad and people do not have the extra money to go out and by extra house hold designs. The prices if many of the in home designs are exspensive.
The only time that I can really recall when these companies do well is when its time to go back to school and holidays. The times are usually called the seasonal. Without these times of the year these companies would not make it in my opinion. I see these companies making a come back was the economy gets better...
